Parade preparation
The third annual Springfest Parade, sponsored by the St. Johnsville Chamber of Commerce will take place Saturday. Stepping off from the St. Johnsville Nursing Home at 1 p.m., the parade will continue east on Main Street to the Soldiers and Sailors Park. Serving as grand marshals are Mr. and Mrs. James Conboy, Dr. Ranbir and Dr. Santosh Sodhi.The grand marshals will be the guests of honor at the chamber's annual dinner meeting in September. The chamber's float, an Erie Canal packet boat designed by Roy Thomson, reflects the Mohawk Valley's historical ties to the canal.
